I will tell you, my French toast is the bomb. Trust me! When I cook for my son, I always seek a way to cook this dish in a healthy and tasty way. Every kid loves French toast. It is a great breakfast dish that takes little time to cook, and it’s fast to eat. This toast, with my healthy twist, can be interesting for mommies.

It is also a perfect breakfast option for kids when Mommy has limited time in the morning before work. I am truly grateful when my son reminds me of his favorite French toast meal. And one of Mommies’ missions is to make sure our kids are happy and satisfied after breakfast.

You Will Need

4–5 tablespoons egg whites

1 slice of whole grain bread

½ teaspoon cinnamon powder

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

2–3 sliced strawberries

Handful blueberries

Agave nectar or honey


How to Make It

Spray your pan with olive oil cooking spray, and let it heat up on the stove. Meanwhile, whisk egg whites with cinnamon powder and vanilla extract in a bowl.

Soak a slice of whole grain bread in the egg whites, and immediately move it to the heated pan. Cook until it turns golden brown on both sides.

Best Part

Move the hot toast onto a plate. Cut it into small pieces. Pour on agave nectar or honey, as much as your kid loves, and throw sliced strawberries and blueberries on top of your French toast.

If you noticed, I substitute butter and a slice of wheat bread with whole grain bread and olive oil cooking spray. I even use egg whites instead of a whole egg.

I think we should teach our kids how to eat well and to make healthy choices in everything that they do. The better our kids are educated in food, science, sports, and other aspects, the smarter and more confident their generation will grow.
